About Welleat

Welleat is a fast-growing startup specializing in connected collective catering. Our mission: to make canteens smarter, more sustainable and more educational through technology. We are developing a suite of digital tools for managers, cooks, diners... to combat food waste, better track nutrition (GEMRCN), and improve the overall catering experience.

Your missions

• Create: Develop software on embedded electronic boards (Raspberry Pi, ...), rapidly prototype new functionalities and also develop AI algorithms (sourcing, classification, segmentation, etc.).
• Connect: Collaborate with the backend team to integrate new connected software bricks into our platform, and maintain those already in place.
• Interact:Exchange with our backend APIs (REST / GraphQL) via WebSockets and standard API requests (POST, GET, ...).
• Improve: Participate in code reviews, technical choices and continuous improvement of our stack.
• Optimize: Ensure product stability, performance and software maintenance.
• Bonus: Develop and deploy applications in production in demanding environments

Profile sought

• Training Engineer or Master 2 in embedded systems, industrial computing or IOT.
• Minimum 2 years development experience in embedded electronic boards (Raspberry Pi, ESP32, other microcontrollers appreciated), ideally on IoT projects with cameras on Raspberry Pi.
• Mastery of Python, C/C++ and good development practices (testing, debugging, creating services to automate software execution, accessibility...).
• Experience in software implementation to communicate with IoT modules in Python and/or C/C++ (Python strongly preferred).
• Ability to work in a Debian/Linux environment, proficiency in Git, ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Good grounding in communication protocols (HTTPs, WebSockets, MQTT).

• Bonus:knowledge in implementing AI models and embedded AI.
