Baby booties designed with moms in mind... During a baby's first years, bones, ligaments and tendons develop. To help them grow, babies should walk barefoot as often as possible. This strengthens the muscles and provides a natural position for the bones. But constraints, such as climate, don't always allow for this. The choice of baby booties is therefore essential. In order to offer an aesthetic and functional product, it is necessary to understand and anticipate the user's needs. In this case, children's shoes and booties are aimed at two distinct targets: the child himself and his parents. The challenge is therefore twofold: we must meet the parents' requirements and satisfy the child's needs. To achieve this, we surveyed a panel of 330 mothers with children aged between 0 and 4. In the course of this study, we presented them with 12 models of booties, each with different characteristics (shape, material, color, type of fastening, etc.). 60% of mothers had difficulty finding the right pair of booties for their baby. 2/3 of them said that booties were often too wide or too narrow. Finally, 90% of them prefer leather.
